This CAAR Connect session (March 19, 2026 – Meghan Vankosky) explores insect population forecasting and scouting in prairie field crops and their role in supporting proactive, threshold-based pest management. Participants will gain insight into key insect pests affecting crop productivity in western Canada, how insect populations are monitored and assessed, and how scouting and economic thresholds inform management decisions.
